The Low Brass Project brings the orchestral trombone and tuba sections to the forefront of chamber music.
When was the last time you heard the rich, deep low brass sounds of an orchestra--out front, as soloists in classical repertoire?
Low Brass Project brings the orchestral trombone and tuba sections to the forefront of our global chamber music forum. In this collaborative ensemble, a distinguished roster of artists from international orchestras performs original and transcribed works for low brass instruments.
Founded by Curtis Institute of Music graduates Darrin C. Milling (bass trombone) and Edwin J. Diefes (tuba), the ensemble has appeared at the International Brass Conference in New York, Tanglewood Music Center, and New World School for the Arts, among others.
Low Brass Project artist and cofounder Darrin C. Milling performs with Posaune Decouple, a trombone ensemble formed by the late Glenn Dodson.
